WHAT IS MULTIMEDIA?
It is the use of different media to convey information. It means using more than one medium of communication to deliver a message.
Multimedia tools allow teachers to edit photos, videos, create educational presentations and share them in the classroom.
MULTIMEDIA TOOLS FOR CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION.
1.Presentation tools : These help create classroom lessons. An example is PowerPoint which is available with most Microsoft office packages for personal computers. PowerPoint can be used to add pictures, diagrams, charts to science lessons, maths lessons, etc. Connect to a projector to view these presentations as a class.
2.Video and photo editing tools: these can be used to add creativity and visual internet to your lessons. An example is Windows movie maker – for Windows users. You can add subtitles, music, narration and special effects to your electronic presentations.
3.Interactive whiteboards : this allows students to respond to your electronic lessons during class time.
4.Youtube: provides visual learners with online videos, podcasts for auditory learners.
